Small controllers for DC motors

Made on an exclusive basis for ALSTOM Inspection Robotics AG, it is a very small control device (83 x 50 x 12.5 mm) for 5 brushed DC motors (max 72W continuous) with 32bit PID algorithms for position or speed control using the trapezoidal trajectory profile.

Each of the 5 motor controllers are based on the FMod-I2CDCMOT DB 48/1.5.

All the calculations are done on board, in order to minimize the
communication data rate with a control/supervising I2C master. Up to 112 I2C devices can be connected to the same I2C bus (data & 5V power) in daisychain configuration.
